Bandai Reveals New Images of the PGU Nu Gundam

Bandai has released additional official images of the upcoming PGU 1/60 RX-93 Nu Gundam, offering a detailed view of the mechanical design and structure of the next Perfect Grade Unleashed model. The latest visuals show the scale of the Nu Gundam in 1/60, focusing on the internal frame, layered armour, and articulation system used throughout the build.

The new images highlight the layered construction of the armour, which opens and slides to reveal the underlying frame. Each section appears to be independently movable, with a joint system designed for realistic range of motion. The fin-funnel system is also displayed in various configurations, confirming multiple positioning options with adjustable mounting arms at the rear.

Detailed close-ups show the panel texture and part separation across the armour surfaces. Multiple materials are evident, including PS, ABS, and POM plastics, along with mixed finishes to distinguish between internal and external components. The cockpit hatch and several mechanical panels can be opened to expose internal mechanisms, consistent with the Perfect Grade Unleashed design approach.

The model includes standard armaments such as a beam rifle, beam sabre, and shield, along with the fin-funnel array. Bandai’s images also suggest compatibility with an optional LED lighting unit, though this accessory has not yet been officially confirmed. A separate display base is expected to be available for aerial poses.

Bandai Spirits has scheduled the PGU 1/60 RX-93 Nu Gundam for release in January 2026. Pricing has not been finalised, but early listings indicate an estimated retail of around ¥49,500, approximately S$440. The new images provide a clearer technical view of the kit’s structure and mechanical layout, setting the stage for one of Bandai’s major releases in the coming year.
