Brendan Fraser Leads D-Day Drama in First Pressure Trailer

Focus Features has unveiled the official trailer for Pressure, its upcoming World War II drama set during the tense 72 hours before the D-Day invasion. Rather than depicting combat, the film centres on the high-stakes deliberations that took place behind closed doors, where weather forecasts and strategic timing would determine the fate of thousands of Allied troops preparing to land in Normandy.

Brendan Fraser stars as General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Supreme Allied Commander faced with making the final call, while Andrew Scott portrays Captain James Stagg, the British meteorologist tasked with delivering critical weather assessments. The trailer highlights urgent exchanges over shifting storm systems, dimly lit war rooms lined with maps and instruments, and the immense weight of responsibility resting on a small group of decision-makers. Kerry Condon, Chris Messina and Damian Lewis round out the ensemble cast.

Directed by Anthony Maras and adapted from David Haig’s stage play, Pressure focuses on the human tension and political strain behind one of history’s most consequential military operations. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 29 May 2026.
