Echoes of the desert front as RYE FIELD MODEL unveils the M50 Mk2 Super Sherman line

From post-war battlefields to the workbench, RYE FIELD MODEL has introduced two new 1/35 scale kits depicting the Israeli M50 Mk2 Super Sherman. Listed as item numbers 5150 and 5151, the releases recreate the M4A4 hull fitted with the HVSS suspension system, representing a key stage in the Sherman’s evolution during its extended service life.

The M50 Mk2 carries the 75 mm high-velocity gun and revised turret structure, paired with detailed external fittings and engine deck components. The Standard Version (5150) focuses on the essential vehicle configuration, while the Upgrade Version (5151) provides additional construction parts and optional enhancements.

A separate 3D printed workable track set, item 3026, has also been announced for the M50 and M51 variants. The tracks are designed for direct fitment and full mobility once assembled, serving as an optional replacement for conventional link-and-length types.

The M50 Mk2 Super Sherman series adds to RYE FIELD MODEL’s catalogue of post-war armour subjects. Further details on pricing and availability will be released through distributors once production scheduling is confirmed.
