First Lunavor Pieces of the Lupus Rex Line the Bench
Test moulds for Lunavor’s 1/100 scale Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex emerge, offering the first look at the model kit’s structural foundation.
Lunavor presents early test-shot components for its upcoming 1/100 scale Barbatos Lupus Rex, marking the company’s initial move into the mechanical aesthetic associated with later-stage Barbatos forms. The test moulds reveal the core proportions and mechanical shaping intended for the final kit, providing a preview of the frame layout before refinement and surface detailing are completed.
Specifications
The kit is designed at 1/100 scale, following the general silhouette of the Lupus Rex configuration with enlarged forearms, extended tail-blade assembly and reinforced limb proportions. The test-shot plastic reflects early production tooling, showing part separation, limb articulation points and preliminary shaping across the chest frame, shoulder units and leg assemblies. These early-stage parts indicate the structural path Lunavor intends for the finished build.
Accessories and Features
While the test moulds primarily showcase base components, key mechanical identifiers of the Lupus Rex form—such as claw-like forearm housings and the extended back-mounted tail weapon—are already present in preliminary form. Additional accessories and option pieces have not yet been revealed, as this stage focuses on validating the moulding quality, joint tolerances and assembly engineering.
Release Details
The test moulds represent the early development phase of Lunavor’s 1/100 Barbatos Lupus Rex model kit. Further updates, including full armour parts, colour-separated runners, accessories and production timelines, are expected once the test-shot evaluation phase is completed. The kit will join Lunavor’s expanding line of 1/100-scale mechanical builds upon final approval of its mould revisions.
