From the pages of Frank Miller’s Batman: The Dark Knight™ Returns, Superman appears not as a traditional saviour, but as a state-backed enforcer — and Hot Toys translates that hardened portrayal into CMS032, the 1/6th scale Superman™ Collectible Figure. Released in conjunction with the comic’s 40th anniversary, this edition captures the broader, heavier interpretation of the Man of Steel seen in the landmark series.

The figure stands approximately 34cm tall and utilises a newly developed muscular body with around 30 points of articulation, reflecting the imposing proportions illustrated in the comic. Two newly developed head sculpts are included: one featuring a composed, authoritative expression, and another displaying a battle-damaged clenched-teeth expression with blood detailing. Both head sculpts incorporate separate rolling eyeballs and a UV luminous reflective effect applied to the eyes, allowing collectors to recreate heat vision effects under ultraviolet light.

Specifications

This 1/6th scale Superman™ figure presents an accurate likeness based on The Dark Knight™ Returns comic design. Six interchangeable hands are included, consisting of a pair of fists, a pair of relaxed hands, a claw-gesture left hand and a flying-gesture right hand. The articulated body structure supports both grounded stances and airborne display configurations.

Accessories / Features

The costume features a tailored blue elastic fabric suit with the red and yellow “S” emblem on the chest, complemented by a yellow belt, red trunks and soft vinyl red boots. A red cape with embedded wire and embossed yellow emblem enables dynamic flight poses.

Included weaponry reflects the comic narrative, comprising one Kryptonite arrow and one damaged sonic gun. The set is completed with a specially designed display stand bearing The Dark Knight™ Returns logo and a character nameplate.
