Gale Hound Merges Titanomachia and Guyver Design Language

Max Factory has announced a new collaborative entry in its PLAMAX assembly model lineup with the release of Gale Hound Guyver 01, a crossover project combining the original Titanomachia mecha concept by NAOKI with the long-running manga series Guyver Bio-Booster Armour. Scheduled for release in December 2026, the kit reinterprets Gale Hound through the visual and thematic framework of Guyver Unit I, presenting a hybrid design that blends biomechanical armour with sharp, high-density mecha detailing.

Guyver, created by manga artist Yoshiki Takaya, is centred on the concept of humans transformed into enhanced combat organisms through the use of bio-booster armour units. In this collaboration, the Titanomachia project absorbs those elements directly into its mechanical identity. Gale Hound is redesigned with Guyver-inspired surface structures integrated throughout the body, including the signature chest-mounted particle cannon mechanism, while maintaining a distinctly mechanical silhouette rather than a purely organic form.

Specifications

The model is produced as a plastic assembly kit with a completed overall height of approximately 17 cm, measuring around 16 cm to the top of the head. It is moulded in multiple colours to reduce the need for painting, while preserving separation and clarity across armour layers. The kit is designed with full articulation, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses.

Original sculpting is handled by Tetsuya Ikeda in collaboration with NAOKI and Yoshihito Kobayashi of Max Factory, with production support from Sentinel. The design places emphasis on sharp armour geometry, layered surface treatment, and mechanical density consistent with the Titanomachia aesthetic.

Accessories / Features

The Gale Hound Guyver 01 kit includes interchangeable hand parts to support expressive combat poses. The chest particle cannon mechanism, a defining feature of the Guyver design, is recreated as part of the build. Original water-slide decals are included to enhance surface detail and finish. Joint construction throughout the body supports flexible posing, enabling rifle stances, aggressive forward-leaning postures, and close-combat configurations.

Release Details

The PLAMAX Gale Hound Guyver 01 assembly model is priced at 9,900 yen, which converts to approximately S$89. The kit is scheduled for release in December 2026.
