GAP Japan Launches Godzilla Collaboration Apparel Collection
As Godzilla approaches its 70th anniversary, the long-running franchise continues to expand beyond film with new cross-industry collaborations. Following the announcement of the next theatrical entry titled Godzilla 0.0, directed once again by Takashi Yamazaki, a new lifestyle-focused project has been revealed with GAP Japan introducing its first-ever collaboration with the iconic monster.
The GAP × Godzilla collection brings the King of the Monsters into everyday wear by combining Godzilla’s visual identity with GAP’s established casual design language. The lineup includes fleece crewneck sweatshirts, zip-up hoodies, and lightweight long-sleeve T-shirts, produced across both menswear and childrenswear ranges. This allows for coordinated adult and child outfits, positioning the collection as a family-friendly collaboration rather than a niche novelty release.
The apparel range spans multiple categories, with all core designs offered in both adult and child sizing. Pricing between adult and child versions differs modestly, with hooded jackets priced 2,000 yen lower for children, while crewneck sweatshirts and lightweight long-sleeve T-shirts are 1,000 yen lower in child sizes.
