The shadows of the battlefield stir once again as Bandai Spirits unveils the HG 1/144 Illusion Gundam (OZ-19MASX), a transforming mobile suit that blends sleek engineering with striking aesthetics in a brand-new evolution of mecha design.

Created by mechanical designer Junichi Akutsu, the Illusion Gundam can shift between three distinct forms — Mobile Suit, Assault Mode, and Mobile Armour — each reconfiguring its silhouette without compromising balance or articulation. The result is a machine that moves as gracefully as it fights, marked by sharp contours and dynamic proportions.

The set includes a beam lance with yellow translucent effect parts, a MEGA particle cannon, and a shield-mounted secondary gun. The lance features a dual-grip design and can be stored in the shoulder reflector guard, while its feet deploy grappling claws when switching to Assault Mode. Builders can also mix and match with other G-UNIT model kits for expanded customisation options.

Set for release through Premium Bandai in December 2025, the HG 1/144 Illusion Gundam is priced at SGD 41 (JPY 4,510).
