Godzilla Rises from the Sea in Monumental Bust Form
The 2023 cinematic incarnation of Godzilla is being adapted into a large-scale bust that isolates the monster at its most imposing, produced by Prime 1 Studio. Based on Godzilla Minus One, this life-size-format release shifts attention away from environmental destruction and human scale, instead concentrating entirely on the creature’s mass, texture, and forward momentum as it parts the sea.

The bust inherits the sculpt and paintwork developed for Prime 1 Studio’s earlier full-body statue, while reworking the composition to emphasise sheer physical presence. Measuring approximately 87 cm in height and 91 cm in depth, Godzilla is depicted advancing through turbulent water, with sculpted spray wrapping around the lower torso to suggest the unseen motion of the submerged body. The absence of buildings, vehicles, or figures heightens the sense of scale and pressure, placing the viewer face-to-face with the monster itself.
Specifications
The statue is presented in bust format and represents Godzilla as seen in Godzilla Minus One. LED lighting is integrated into the mouth and dorsal fins, using clear parts to recreate the charged glow that precedes the heat ray. The Bonus Version is limited to an edition size of 300 pieces and is confirmed as a region-exclusive release.
Accessories / Features
Surface detailing includes lens-like translucent eyes with a wet appearance, a heavily built chest and arms with pronounced muscular definition, and dark, sunken skin tones that suggest time spent beneath the ocean. The sculpt and paint application focus on close-range realism, capturing fine textures and subtle tonal variation.
The Bonus Version includes an additional miniature Godzilla statue inspired by the earlier full-body release, offering a compact interpretation of the same design language. Final details on LED power supply have yet to be confirmed.
