A powered upgrade from the Mega Man X series is being recreated in articulated form as Hiya Toys introduces the EXQUISITE BASIC Series X Falcon Armour action figure, translating the character’s aerial combat configuration into a 6-inch scale collectible.

Hiya Toys has announced a new entry in its EXQUISITE BASIC Series, recreating X equipped with the Falcon Armour from the Mega Man X series. The Falcon Armour first appeared in Mega Man X5 as a specialised combat upgrade that enhanced X’s manoeuvrability and energy efficiency. In the game, the armour reduced the energy consumption of special weapons, increased damage resistance, and enabled limited aerial hovering. Its charged shot produced missiles capable of penetrating terrain, while the powerful “Giga Attack” released a screen-filling barrage of energy projectiles. In the sequel Mega Man X6, the armour returned in a damaged state, resulting in reduced flight capability and weaker charge shot penetration.

Specifications

The EXQUISITE BASIC Series X Falcon Armour action figure stands approximately 15 centimetres tall, following the 6-inch scale format commonly used for articulated display figures. The sculpt and proportions reflect the visual style associated with the original game artwork, including the larger forearm cannons and reinforced leg armour characteristic of the Falcon Armour design. Armour sections feature glossy paint applications combined with translucent parts to recreate the layered materials seen in the character’s design.

Accessories / Features

The figure incorporates multiple articulated joints designed to support a wide range of display poses. Magnets embedded in the feet allow the figure to attach to metal surfaces, enabling wall-climbing and dynamic mid-action poses. Included accessories consist of three interchangeable facial expressions and six interchangeable hand parts. Additional display components include an alternate arm cannon in firing configuration, the Z Saber hilt inherited from Zero, and two beam blade effect parts.

Both the arm cannon and the Z Saber incorporate integrated LED lighting systems. The arm cannon lighting is activated using a magnetic switch and offers three illumination modes including flashing light, breathing light, and constant light. The Z Saber hilt also features LED lighting designed to illuminate the included blade effects, allowing different stages of beam output to be displayed.

The Hiya Toys EXQUISITE BASIC Series X Falcon Armour action figure is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027 and carries a retail price of S$89.
