Hot Toys has unveiled its latest 1/6th scale collectible figure – The Joker, as he appears in Batman: The Killing Joke. Inspired by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland’s landmark graphic novel, this figure captures the Clown Prince of Crime at his most unhinged, complete with comic-accurate detail and an array of sinister accessories.

A Legacy of Madness

Originally published in 1988, Batman: The Killing Joke remains one of the most influential and disturbing stories in Batman’s history. It offers a bleak origin for the Joker and explores his belief that even the sanest person can descend into madness after a single traumatic day. The story’s central experiment – tormenting Commissioner Gordon to prove his theory – is as unsettling as it is iconic.

Hot Toys’ take on the Joker from this classic tale is a faithful and eerie recreation, bringing Bolland’s illustrations to life in 1/6th scale.

Standing approximately 31 cm tall, the figure includes two newly developed head sculpts featuring rolling eyeball function, fine sculpted detailing, and signature curly green hair. One portrait depicts a wide, open-mouthed grin with a magnetically attachable tongue, while the other features a squinting smirk and a removable beige hat – both heads are interchangeable and meticulously painted.

The Joker’s wardrobe mirrors his appearance in the comic, featuring a wire-embedded purple coat and jacket layered over a yellow waistcoat, black shirt, and green ribbon tie. Purple trousers, a black belt, and black shoes complete the ensemble.

Eight interchangeable gloved hands allow collectors to recreate a variety of expressive poses, from holding weapons to brandishing the character’s signature cane and camera.

Accessories from a Distorted Mind

True to the story’s most infamous scenes, the Joker comes equipped with a camera – a cruel nod to his treatment of Barbara Gordon – as well as a cane, a Joker playing card, a knife, and a pistol with a “Click Click Click” flag. A backdrop featuring the cover art of The Killing Joke is also included and can be mounted to the custom figure stand, offering a dramatic display option.
