The cockpit is the heart of every fighter aircraft – and now ResKit has introduced figures to give it a human soul. Update 19 adds two new 1/32 scale pilot sets designed for Trumpeter’s F-105 Thunderchief kits, offering model builders a way to honour the aviators who flew these Cold War icons into some of the toughest missions in history.

The releases include RSF32-0067, a single F-105D Thunderchief pilot seated in an ejection seat, and RSF32-0068, a pair of F-105F/G Wild Weasel pilots seated in ejection seats. Both are 3D printed with fine sculpting to capture the presence and detail of these Vietnam-era warriors.

The Thunderchief holds a unique place in aviation history, having flown more combat missions over North Vietnam than any other U.S. aircraft. These new pilot sets provide a personal dimension to the Trumpeter kits, portraying the courage and skill of the men who flew “Thuds” through the world’s most heavily defended skies.
