Steel Precision in Motion – Gecko Models 1/16 Scale Panzerjäger I für Pak 40 Sd.Kfz.131 (Early Production)

Gecko Models has announced the 1/16 scale Panzerjäger I für Pak 40 Sd.Kfz.131 (Early Production), also known as the Marder II. The vehicle represents one of Germany’s earliest tank destroyer designs of the Second World War, pairing a light chassis with the 7.5 cm Pak 40 anti-tank gun.

The kit depicts the early production variant of the Panzerjäger I, featuring an open-topped fighting compartment and a detailed driving section. It includes the defining field configurations and internal arrangements used on the Sd.Kfz.131.

The model is produced in 1/16 scale as a plastic kit. A turned aluminium gun barrel and 3D-printed muzzle brake are included. The interior covers the gun breech, ammunition racks, and crew controls. Workable track links are provided to show realistic articulation of the suspension and running gear.

Accessories / Features

Parts are included for both the fighting and driving compartments, along with optional stowage elements that can be positioned as required. The gun assembly includes elevation and traverse mechanisms, and small fittings are provided for finishing and detailing work.
