The Golden-Masked Antagonist Walks the Beach Once Again

The Golden-Masked Antagonist Walks the Beach Once Again

The world of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach witnesses the return of Higgs Monaghan, portrayed by Troy Baker. Once a key antagonist in the original game, Higgs resurfaces with darker ambitions—leading ghost mechs across Australia and opposing Sam and the Drawbridge coalition as chiral storms and otherworldly phenomena reshape what remains of civilisation.

Hot Toys has announced the 1/6th scale Higgs Collectible Figure, expanding its Death Stranding lineup with a detailed representation of the character’s new appearance in the sequel. The figure features a newly developed head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs, a screen-accurate expression, and a sculpted dark brown mid-length hairstyle. Weathered detailing is applied across the costume and accessories to replicate the harsh, windswept environments of the game.

Specifications

Standing at approximately 32.5 cm tall, the figure includes 23 points of articulation and nine interchangeable gloved hands for various poses—from relaxed to combat-ready stances. Higgs’s outfit includes his black suit with distinctive orange armour components across the chest, abdomen, arms, back, and thighs, together with a gold necklace, exoskeleton, and boots.

Accessories and Features

The set includes Higgs’s pistol and Battle Guitar, both key to his in-game persona. The instrument can be equipped with an attachable guitar strap and a gut string that connects it to his waist. Additional accessories include a red mask for alternate display, an attachable Odradek for the back armour, and a figure stand marked with the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach logo and character nameplate.

Release Details

Listed under product code VGM79, the Higgs 1/6th scale Collectible Figure is scheduled for release between Q4 2026 and Q1 2027. This release presents a detailed physical interpretation of Higgs’s re-emergence in the upcoming sequel, continuing the series’ focus on design, realism, and narrative presence.
