A new era of classic robot nostalgia begins as Japanese manufacturer PLEX launches its Scene Selection line, opening with Scene Selection 01: Krentasha’s Victory Cry. Standing at approximately 14 cm tall and crafted from PVC and ABS, this dramatic display piece is priced at 7,480 yen and scheduled for release in January 2026, with pre-orders now open through Premium Bandai.

The Scene Selection line focuses on capturing iconic moments from classic anime, starting with UFO Robot Grendizer — the third instalment in Go Nagai and Toei Animation’s Mazinger series. The story follows Daisuke Umon, the exiled prince of Planet Fleed, who conceals his true identity while living on Earth. When the Vega Alliance launches an invasion, Daisuke pilots the mighty robot Grendizer into battle once again, marking the beginning of a new conflict.

This release recreates the fierce confrontation from the first episode, in which Grendizer stands triumphant over the defeated Ukulemon (Embedded Monster). The figure depicts Grendizer holding the monster’s severed head aloft, while its damaged torso lies on the base beneath him. Flame effects surrounding the base heighten the sense of intensity, and the “War God Double Spike” weapon can be attached or removed for varied display.

The figure measures approximately 14 cm in height and is produced from PVC and ABS materials. It will retail for 7,480 yen (tax included) and is scheduled for release in January 2026 as a Premium Bandai exclusive under PLEX’s new Scene Selection brand.
