Bandai Candy’s SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT line expands into Super Sentai territory with the announcement of SMP 激走合體 RV機器人, bringing the combined mecha from 激走戰隊車連者 into modern model kit form. The release recreates the iconic five-vehicle combination while integrating updated articulation systems that were not present in the original DX toy.

In the series, RV機器人 is formed from the red, blue, green, yellow and pink RV combat vehicles driven by the Carrangers. Through the signature “Gekisou Gattai” sequence, the five machines combine into a towering robot built to battle the giantised Bosozoku forces. The design blends vehicle styling with high-mobility combat performance, including sliding kicks, high-speed running attacks and the finishing move RV劍激走斬 performed with the RV Sword.

Specifications

The kit includes all five Ranger vehicles in colour-separated moulded parts, supplemented by stickers for detailing. The sculpting reproduces both the front-facing proportions and rear undercarriage detailing, including the distinctive black vehicle base sections visible from behind. The combination mechanism closely mirrors the on-screen structure while maintaining structural stability in robot mode.

Accessories / Features

Modern engineering introduces pull-out joint mechanisms in the shoulders, hips and ankles, significantly increasing articulation compared to the vintage DX toy. This allows dynamic posing with the included RV劍 and 徑向盾牌, including running stances, spinning attack poses and the characteristic high kneeling pose following the execution of 激走斬. A newly designed thigh connection system offers two selectable configurations: a screen-accurate standing mode and a DX toy-style stance. When set to the DX configuration, the lower legs shift outward along the central axis to recreate the retro toy silhouette.
