TAMASHII NATIONS Unveils METAL ROBOT SOUL White Gundam

TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of BANDAI SPIRITS Japan, has officially announced the latest addition to its METAL ROBOT SOUL series—White Gundam from the upcoming anime Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. This highly detailed collectible is scheduled for release in September 2025.

A New Gundam Series and Storyline

Set in the world of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, the story follows Joha, a high school girl living in a space colony who unexpectedly finds herself drawn into the underground Battle Group Showdown, an illegal mobile suit duel competition. After meeting Nean, a war refugee, she becomes the pilot of the mysterious GQuuuuuuX, changing her fate forever under the new name Ma Qiu.

The White Gundam itself has deep roots in Universal Century history. Originally developed by the Earth Federation Army in UC 0079, it was captured by the legendary Zeon ace pilot Char Aznable. After modifications, it became known as the Red Gundam, but both Char and the mobile suit mysteriously vanished at the end of the One Year War. Years later, in UC 0085, a mysterious pilot appears in Battle Group Showdown, piloting a Red Gundam, reigniting speculation about Char’s fate.

Figure Details and Features

The METAL ROBOT SOUL White Gundam stands 15.5 cm tall and features an alloy movable frame that enhances articulation and stability. Designed with Yamashita Ikuto’s distinctive aesthetic, the figure boasts a slender body, EVA-style head, and a fusion of classic and modern armor elements.

The chest, hips, limbs, and backpack incorporate alloy parts for durability and balance, ensuring strong joint support and natural articulation. A unique hip joint design allows greater leg mobility, while the chest frame’s linked motion expands shoulder articulation. The metallic red, white, blue, and yellow colour scheme faithfully replicates its Federation Army appearance before its capture by Zeon, with electroplated alloy accents for a premium finish.
