Aoshima Rolls Out Patlabor Action with New Ingram Unit 2 & Command Car Set
Patlabor fans, gear up — Aoshima is bringing more mecha muscle to your shelves with the upcoming ACKS No.MP-02 release, featuring the 1/43 scale AV-98 Ingram Unit 2 and the Type 98 Special Type Command Car. Scheduled for release in October 2025, this kit continues the legacy of Mobile Police Patlabor with a fresh combo of robot and ride.
The AV-98 Ingram Unit 2 stands about 190mm tall and comes fully articulated, letting you pose Officer Isao Ohta’s ride in dramatic action or classic standby. You’ll get:
- Opening cockpit and leg hatches
- An in-scale seated Ohta pilot figure
- Gear like the revolver cannon, stun stick, and riot gun (with folding stock)
Alongside the mech, the Type 98 Command Vehicle adds backup to the scene — complete with opening doors and front hatch. It includes figures of Kanuka Clancy and Takeo Kumagami, both ready to be seated inside. A same-scale guard robot is also part of the set.
Other highlights:
- Snap-fit parts (no glue needed)
- Moulded in colour
- Water-slide decals for extra detail
- Supervised design by Patlabor mecha legend Yutaka Izubuchi
All this drops at a retail price of ¥10,780 (around USD $68.59). Whether you’re a long-time fan or just diving into the world of Ingram units, this kit’s a solid way to bring the Shinohara tech vibe to your display shelf.
