Every Showa-era hero has an origin worth telling twice — Hot Toys tells Black RX’s the way it was always meant to be seen: up close, in full articulation. Born when Kotaro Minami, exiled into space and left near death by the Crisis Empire, has his King Stone mutated by exposure to solar energy, this transformed state carries the character through some of the franchise’s most recognisable moments and finishing moves.
Features
The newly developed helmeted head carries the character’s signature antennae alongside LED light-up eyes, finished in red and battery powered. The body underneath supports high poseability across thirty points of articulation, with thirteen interchangeable hands allowing collectors to recreate his iconic roll-call poses. An undersuit made from multi-layered screen-printed elastic fabric gives the costume a dense, durable base, layered beneath a set of black and dark green armour marked with textured patterns and the RX emblem across the chest.
The Sunriser Henshin belt sits at the centre of the figure, fitted with two interchangeable plates for its regular and transformation modes, along with its own LED light-up function. His signature weapon, the Revolcane, comes with an LED light-up hilt as well as a regular hilt, and interchangeable translucent blue and solid silver blades. Both hilts can attach interchangeably to the belt as drawing effects, recreating the on-screen moment where the weapon glows blue before solidifying into silver as it’s pulled free. A translucent red RX Kick effect piece, swappable with the boots, recreates the impact of his explosive mid-air finishing move. A dedicated figure stand supports his more dynamic poses.
