Bandai Spirits’ Tamashii Nations METAL STRUCTURE Kaitai-Shou-Ki series has built its reputation on treating Mobile Suits less as toys and more as machines to be engineered, and the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II is the latest recipient of that approach.
Features
The figure is assembled from roughly 2,500 individual parts, each reconstructed using composite materials chosen for the specific area of the body they represent, lending the finish a texture intended to evoke the real armour plating of the Mobile Suit. The design draws on armour deployment techniques to allow the figure to be displayed in a variety of forms. Light-up gimmicks are built into both the main body and the accompanying base, while a bundled mini-figure adds a further sense of scale to the display. The set includes a beam rifle, a hyper bazooka featuring a Vulcan pod system, a shield fitted with two spare E-packs, and joint parts that double as spare cartridges for the bazooka. A display stand with various beam effect parts is also included, alongside a complete set of figures for posing.
