Crimson scales and all, Good Smile Company has brought Monster Hunter‘s apex aerial predator down to earth with the reveal of the Nendoroid Rathalos.

Rathalos, known in Japanese as Riolreus, is one of the most recognisable monsters in the Monster Hunter series, celebrated as the “King of the Skies” for its agile, sustained flight and exceptional eyesight, capable of spotting prey from great altitudes before launching high-speed dives. Alongside its poison-tipped claws, the creature is best known for the scorching flames it unleashes from its jaws, dominating the airspace it patrols.
The Nendoroid rendition, sculpted by Pumpkin, faithfully recreates Rathalos’s scaled texture, crimson carapace and intricate wing membrane patterning in chibi proportions, finished with blue and yellow eyes. Two interchangeable face plates are included, a standard expression and a closed-eye version, alongside a fireball effect part, a sleep effect part and a severed tail piece, allowing memorable in-game moments to be recreated in miniature.
