Luke’s Expanded Universe Look Returns in Hot Toys’ Shadows Of The Empire Figure

Luke’s Expanded Universe Look Returns in Hot Toys’ Shadows Of The Empire Figure

A distinctive chapter from Star Wars Legends is making its way back into sixth scale form as Hot Toys unveils Luke Skywalker (Shadows Of The Empire), based on the character’s appearance in the 1996 comic series. The release revisits Luke’s transitional design between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, drawing from the Expanded Universe storyline that followed his search for Han Solo and confrontation with the Black Sun syndicate.

The figure features a newly developed head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs, allowing for adjustable display expressions and posing angles. Luke’s appearance is completed with a sculpted brown mid-length hairstyle and detailed facial texturing designed to match the comic interpretation of the Jedi hero. Hot Toys has also included multiple interchangeable hands tailored for lightsaber poses, Force gestures, and blaster handling.

Luke’s outfit recreates the comic design with a cream-yellow padded vest layered over a black double-breasted band-collar shirt, paired with black trousers and leather-like microfiber boots. Two interchangeable utility belt configurations are included, allowing collectors to swap between different carrying setups featuring pouches, lightsaber holders, and a pistol holster.
