S.H.Figuarts Unveils Dark Tiga as TAMASHII NATION 2026 Commemorative Figure

Ahead of TAMASHII NATION 2026, S.H.Figuarts has unveiled Shinkocchou Seihou Dark Tiga, capturing Ultraman Tiga’s corrupted form from the ultra-ancient civilisation era.

Dark Tiga is the form Ultraman Tiga took 30 million years ago, as depicted in the film Ultraman Tiga: The Final Odyssey. Alongside Carmeara, Darramb and Hudra, he was one of the “Giants of Darkness,” corrupted by darkness within their hearts and locked in fierce battle against other Giants of Light. Yuzare, leader of the Earth Defense Force at the time, helped Tiga regain the light in his heart, after which he sealed away the other three Dark Giants and restored peace, though the ensuing war led to the collapse of the ultra-ancient civilisation. Tiga and the surviving Giants of Light subsequently entrusted their power to future generations of humanity, transforming into stone statues and falling into a long slumber.

This Shinkocchou Seihou release is an updated version of a previously released standard edition, supervised by Tsuburaya Productions’ LSS sculpting division. The figure recreates Dark Tiga’s on-screen appearance using full-body 3D scans of suit actor Shunsuke Gondo, who originally portrayed Tiga, with Minoru Narita, designer of the original Tiga suit, invited to oversee the prototype. The figure’s entire body features new molding colours and paintwork to capture the darker tones of his Giant of Darkness era, alongside newly sculpted transformation effect parts recreating the lightning-like energy that emanates from his chest Color Timer during transformation. As with the recently released 30th Anniversary Edition, the figure also features improved chest articulation, with new splits in the pectoral muscle parts around the Color Timer allowing them to shift toward the centre of the chest, keeping their position screen-accurate when the arms are raised.
