The Resident Evil universe shifts with a new teaser reveal, introducing a reimagined take under director Zach Cregger ahead of its theatrical debut in IMAX.

Directed by Zach Cregger, known for Weapons and Barbarian, the film presents an original storyline centred on Bryan, portrayed by Austin Abrams. The character, a medical courier, becomes caught in a rapidly escalating series of events as a single night spirals into a chaotic and life-threatening situation.

The project is produced by Columbia Pictures and Constantin Film in association with TriStar Pictures. The screenplay is written by Zach Cregger and Shay Hatten.

Producers include Robert Kulzer, Zach Cregger, Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, Carter Swan, and Asad Qizilbash, with executive producers Oliver Berben, Victor Hadida, Richard Wright, and Robert Bernacci.

The cast features Austin Abrams, Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, and Paul Walter Hauser.

Resident Evil is scheduled for theatrical release on 18 September 2026, with credits noted as subject to change.
