Batmobile Tumbler gets a Technic rebuild with remote control
The LEGO Technic 42239 Batmobile Tumbler is based on the vehicle featured in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, reinterpreted through a mechanical-focused build rather than a display-first approach. Unlike previous iterations that emphasised screen-accurate shaping, this version adopts the Technic system’s exposed structure, highlighting the internal framework and functional components while retaining the recognisable silhouette of the Tumbler.
Specifications
The set consists of 719 pieces and measures approximately 11 cm in height and 31 cm in length once assembled. The build makes extensive use of black Technic elements, showcasing joints, beams, and structural connections as part of its visual identity. The design prioritises mechanical detail and structural integrity over enclosed bodywork.
Accessories / Features
The Batmobile is compatible with LEGO’s CONTROL+ mobile application, allowing remote operation of the vehicle. Functions include steering control and light activation, with integrated lighting that illuminates when the model is powered on. The model uses a rechargeable battery system powered via USB-C, though the charging cable is not included.
Release Details
The LEGO Technic 42239 Batmobile Tumbler is priced at S$256. The set is scheduled for release on 1 August 2026.
